I recently picked up a book he wrote back in 2009. "Bicycle Diaries". It's great. They're little snippets of his bike rides around cities, towns, and suburbs around the world. He basically talks about the things you see when visiting, and although he is an outsider and visitor/tourist in most of these cities, he picks up on the slight nuances that make up these places. He makes it a point to say he's not an activist, but yet he takes part in bike-to-work days, rallies, and the like. He makes a stand for why bikes are important to cities and how they could actually make a city more livable.
I highly recommend picking it up, reading his stories. They're more like commentaries, really. In the mean time check out his blog and journal. He's also collaborated with St. Vincent. Album comes out at the end of the summer. Could be really interesting... the cover art is.
He should wear a helmet. I love his hair, but...the brain... the brain!!!
